Wilds land only on reels 2, 3 and 4, and in the base game each one carries a multiplier somewhere between x2 and x10. Those values apply to every winning combination passing through the wild, and when more than one multiplier joins the same win they are added together — a x4 and a x6 on one line come out at x10, not x24.
